This is an interesting blog on web designing, “How to Ruin a Web Design - The Design Curve“. The interesting part is the illustration of its two design curves. While agreeing with the writer over company’s bureaucracy in the process of web designing, I do not know what is his idea of a good web design.

DeepBlue 2 columns template image

This is our first template…actually our first design modified from Wordpress Default template (which is based on the famous Kubrick.)

We did not change the functionality and structure of the original template which all of us are familiar with. (It is a wonderful template, we don’t need to reinvent the wheel). We only change its look.

A simple, clean and optimized wordpress template with the look and feel for more matured audience.

It is a two columns template with main content at the left and the navigation bar at the right. To have a fixed home page, you will need a plugin called Static Front Page Plugin.

The main content area for this template is a bit too wide for easy reading. It is meant for blogger to add a column for photos or adsense’s Skyscraper or Wide Skyscraper ads. This will narrow down the main content area. Readers’ vision can clutter words and move down quickly. The top place to put your Adsense for this template is at the left side of the main content area. But even without this extra column, DeepBlue (Two Columns) looks simple and clean.
